Many teenagers suffer from depression. The causes are diverse from the lack of academic achievement, the pressure of preparing for college or jobs, problems in
school life, or relational issues of different types. They may enjoy their life but they have to study or work. Teenagers tend not to express their depressive feelings
since they cannot recognize or analyze their condition or since the situation does not allow them to express freely. They become irritable and grump[y when they
experience depression. They may look rebellious and aggressive in parents' eyes. They are all manifestations of accumulated stress and wounds.
The first indicator of teenagers' depression is the lack of interest in school and study. Parents must communicate well with children and find out what feelings
children have exactly. When parents neglect children's condition, they may just begin to refuse to go to school or commit juvenile delinquency. Teenagers'
depression must be taken seriously. It causes mood swings, stomach upset, headaches, insomnia, and eating disorder. Teenagers with depression may lose
energy and vitality in daily life and think negatively and pessimistically.
